The Commission has published a detailed country analysis on employment, skills and social inclusion for Spain and six other Member States (Bulgaria, Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary and Romania), detailing the results of the social convergence framework.
This more detailed analysis is based on the findings of the Joint Employment Report 2024, which includes the first phase of the analysis of all Member States. The Joint Employment Report was presented by the Commission as part of the autumn 2024 Semester package and adopted by the Council in March 2024.
This analysis will now be the subject of in-depth multilateral discussions with Member States, both in the Employment Committee and the Social Protection Committee, prior to the forthcoming adoption of the Spring European Semester package.
The European Semester is the European Union’s framework for coordinating and monitoring economic, employment and social policies.
