The National Research Council of Italy (CNR) announces a Call for the recruitment of the Director of the Department Human and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage (DSU).
The Scientific Departments are the organizational structures responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the research programs carried out by the Institutes.
The mission of the Department of Human and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage, is to contribute to the development of research and knowledge in the articulated set of themes that pertain to the humanities, social sciences and sciences of cultural heritage, favoring the use of interdisciplinary approaches and advanced technologies, with a view to enhancing cultural heritage, culturally qualifying public debate and promoting the unity of knowledge.

Requirements
Eligible applicants are professors, researchers and technologists of Universities or other National or International Research Institutions, as well as managers in the public or private sector with high professional, scientific and managerial qualifications and experience and with no limitations of citizenship, those who have filled the position of Director. Candidates should not have consecutively filled the position of Director for more than a mandate in the same Department they are applying for.
Good knowledge of Italian and English is required.
Benefits
The Director is responsible for the overall operations of the Department and for the coordination of all activities, in relation with entrusted programs and projects. The Director all duties stated in the bylaw, regulations and general acts of CNR.
The Director will have a full-time position with a mandate of four years, beginning from official nomination and can be renamed only once.
Directors of Department will receive a salary equal to 88% of the maximum established for the President of CNR, corresponding to € euro 140.340,34 of which a part that varies by no more than 20% as a portion of their compensation of results.
