The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Granada, on behalf of the Andalusian European Information Network, is inviting applications for the“20th Andalusian Prize for Research on European Integration”, with the aim of promoting research into European integration and supporting researchers working on topics related to the European Union.
Eligibility
Participation in this call for applications is open to one or more researchers who, at the time of submission of their work, have a demonstrable link with an Andalusian institution or who, having been born in Andalusia, carry out their research work at a university, institute or research centre.
The following types of work are eligible for the award:
- Research projects, whether individual or collaborative.
- Master’s dissertations submitted after 1 January 2024.
- Doctoral theses submitted or defended after 1 January 2024.
In the case of research projects submitted by research teams under the supervision of a principal investigator or project leader, they may participate provided they have completed their research and submitted the corresponding report. In such cases, the principal investigator and at least half of the researchers must meet the requirement set out in the first condition of the call for applications.
Purpose
The aim of the award is to promote research into various aspects of the European integration process carried out by:
- Andalusian researchers at universities.
- Researchers affiliated with research centres or other types of public bodies in Andalusia.
Amount
The prize will consist of a cash award of €1,500, a certificate and the publication of the work, with mention of the prize awarded by the European Information Network of Andalusia.
The prize will be subject to the deductions and taxes stipulated by applicable legislation, which will be deducted from the corresponding cash prize.
The prize money will be paid to the winner by means of a cheque made out to the winner’s name, charged to budget item 30SJ260001 541A 78600 of the European Documentation Centre at the University of Granada.
Deadline for submission of applications
The period will begin on the day following the publication of the call for applications in the Official Gazette of the Regional Government of Andalusia and will end on 25 September 2026.
