NATO Headquarters organises an internship programme to offer a small number of students, both current and recent graduates, the opportunity to gain experience at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
An annual call for applications opens in the spring, with two start dates: in September and March of the following year. The internships will last approximately 6 to 8 months.
NATO offers six-month internships to third-year university students or recent graduates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree. These internships cover a wide range of knowledge and skills, offering opportunities in areas such as political affairs, defence and security, innovation, operations, communications, corporate support and human resources, finance, science and technology, and infrastructure and facilities.
The internships take place at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, a vibrant city that serves as a hub for many European and other international organisations, and a centre of activity and networking for young professionals.
The NATO Internship Programme offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn from the NATO community, whilst gaining six months of valuable work experience and a deeper understanding of the inner workings of the Alliance.
