Contribute to the regular work of the Division, for example by preparing tables and charts for reports and presentations for members of the Executive Board and senior management of the Directorate-General, in collaboration with other business areas.

Use the results of the Consumer Expectations Survey (CES) to improve the Division’s understanding of the household sector in the euro area and formulate policy advice.

Process, consolidate and transform data sets, and maintain and develop databases and visualisation tools to monitor actual economic developments, often using microdata.

Help adapt regular work processes and data management to changes in the data system using modern tools and technologies.

Conduct empirical analysis using data analysis and statistical and econometric tools to support policy-making bodies.
Requirements:
-
Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, statistics, data science or another relevant field.

Practical experience working with databases, including data quality validation and preparation of graphs and tables for reports and presentations.

Practical experience with statistical/econometric software such as EViews, Stata or with programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, R, SQL and VBA for Excel.

Interest in supporting policy advice through applied economic analysis.

Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Advanced (C1) command of English and intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official EU language according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
