In your role as an intern, you will be part of a team responsible for communications relating to banknotes, working closely with the ECB’s Directorate General Communications and the national central banks of the Eurosystem to raise public awareness of banknotes and cash in general across the euro area.This work includes updating website content, creating digital material for social media, producing visual content such as photos and videos, and researching and analysing the impact of our communications. We also respond to enquiries from the media and the public, and support the organisation of banknote-related events.
- Contributing to the preparation of communication materials, including content for social media, for both the ECB’s internal audience and the general public;
- support public information initiatives and campaigns;
- helping to draft reports, presentations, briefings and web content;
- helping to coordinate communication activities on banknotes with the national central banks of the Eurosystem;
- assist in the preparation of meetings, workshops and outreach events;
- Conduct research and analysis on topics related to euro banknotes and cash communication.
Requirements:
- EU citizens who meet the eligibility criteria for our internship programme.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in international relations, political science, economics, finance, journalism, communication, media studies, graphic design or another relevant field;
- Advanced (C1) proficiency in English and intermediate (B1) proficiency in at least one other official EU language.
Benefits:
The trainee grant is €1,170 per month plus a housing allowance.
