A fully funded PhD position is available to explore the exciting frontier of thermoelectric materials research. Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of Slovak Academy of Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to contribute to a cutting-edge project focused on designing and developing novel ABO₃ type perovskite thermoelectric materials. This research directly addresses the urgent need for improved energy efficiency and aligns perfectly with the EU Green Deal’s ambitious sustainability goals.
Duties
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct theoretical calculations to predict and optimize the thermoelectric properties of novel perovskite compositions.
- Synthesize and characterize a wide range of complex perovskite materials using advanced experimental techniques.
- Perform detailed measurements of electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and Seebeck coefficient across a range of temperatures.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data to establish structure-property relationships.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through scientific publications and conference presentations.
Requirements
- Obtained master’s degree or equivalent at the time of entrance examination.
- Complete submission of an electronic registration form for doctoral studies via the academic information system of the corresponding university.
