The European Commission has launched an EU-wide awareness campaign to combat human trafficking. Every year, around 10,000 people are identified as victims of trafficking in the EU, and many more go unnoticed and unprotected. Victims include both EU and non-EU citizens who are forced into sexual or labour exploitation, forced crime or other forms of human trafficking.
The campaign “End human trafficking. Break the invisible chain” seeks to raise awareness of this often invisible crime and enable citizens and victims to recognise the signs, report suspected cases of human trafficking and obtain support.
You can participate by:
- Learn10 signsthat someone may be a victim of human trafficking.
- Knowwhere to report suspected cases of trafficking and offer support to victims of trafficking.
Join the campaign by spreading the word and using multilingual materials. Together we can end human trafficking.
