About the Indian G20 presidency
India holds the G20 presidency from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023.
The theme “One Earth · One Family · One Future” conveys a message of striving for just and equitable growth for all in the world, during turbulent times, in a sustainable, holistic, responsible, and inclusive manner.
About the G20
The G20 is an intergovernmental forum that connects the world’s major economies.
G20 members include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union.
Spain is also invited as a permanent guest.
Previous summit
The previous G20 summit, in 2022, was hosted by the Indonesian G20 presidency in Bali.
During the two-day summit, leaders discussed the impact of Russia’s war against Ukraine on the global economy, and more specifically food and energy security.
