Resumen:La superficie forestal y el volumen de las existencias madereras son variables esenciales que describen los recursos forestales. Esta información se recoge en las Cuentas Forestales Europeas de EUROSTAT, que incluyen un conjunto de cuentas que cuantifican las existencias y los flujos de los bosques y la silvicultura y la industria maderera. La información sobre las variables económicas es mucho más completa que la información para las cuentas de existencias sobre la superficie forestal (incluida dentro de las denominadas Tablas A1) y el volumen de madera (Tablas A2). El objetivo de este informe, que forma parte del Acuerdo Administrativo ESTAT-2021-0372, es mejorar la exhaustividad de la tabla A2a, y la comprensión de cómo se pueden conciliar los datos existentes sobre superficie forestal.
Summary:Forest area and the volume of timber stocks are essential variables describing forest resources. These information are collected within the European Forest Accounts of EUROSTAT, which include a set of accounts quantifying the stocks and flows for forest, and forestry and logging industry. The reporting on economic variables is much more complete than reporting for the stock accounts on forest area (included within the so called Tables A1) and volume of timber (Tables A2). The aim of this report, which is part of the Administrative Arrangement ESTAT-2021-0372, is to improve the completeness of table A2a, and the understanding of how existing data on forest area can be reconciled.
