You will be part of the Internal Communications team within the Press Division of the Directorate General Communications. This division is responsible for all of the ECB’s communication activities, including social media and internal communications.
The team consists of around ten people and is responsible for keeping ECB colleagues informed about various internal and institution-related topics, fostering open dialogue. To this end, it writes, edits and produces content in various formats (e.g. intranet articles, vlogs, infographics and presentations), organises events and provides communication advice to colleagues across the institution.
One of the team’s tasks is media monitoring. It tracks media coverage of the ECB and analyses reactions to its own communication activities. It also acts as the ECB’s press desk, tracking daily news on topics related to the institution, identifying relevant reports and sharing them with colleagues, either in writing or through live presentations. Its aim is to identify issues raised in the media and detect communication challenges.
You will work closely with other members of the Directorate General, forming part of cross-departmental teams responsible for strategic communication projects or urgent tasks.
