Shape global policy and represent young Europeans at the United Nations! The European Union, in cooperation with the European Youth Forum and National Youth Councils, is seeking two passionate young people to serve as EU Youth Delegates to the UN for a 12-month mandate starting in September 2026.
Delegates tasks
- Represent the EU at the UN in New York.
- Advocate for youth rights and interests.
- Collaborate with EU Member State Youth Delegates.
- Engage with youth organisations across the EU.
- Communicate your work through various platforms.
Eligibility
- Citizen of an EU Member State
- Under 30 years old at the time of application
- Able to commit approximately 40 days per year to programme activities
- Interested in international relations, political science, law, human rights, international development, public health, climate change, or other UN-related fields
- Motivated and/or experienced in youth advocacy, youth organisations, and movements, with a clear vision for youth participation at EU and UN levels
- Willingness to travel to New York (approx. three times) and Brussels (if needed) travel costs covered
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and presentation skills.
