DiscoverEU gives 18-year-olds the chance to explore Europe by rail, its culture, and its diversity. This video competition celebrates that spirit.
Your video should answer to this question: “What does it mean to be a young person in Europe today?”
Who can apply
- young people who have been selected under a DiscoverEU call in 2022, 2023, 2024, or in the first round of 2025.
- citizens or residents of an EU Member State (including Overseas Countries and Territories) or Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia or Türkiye.
The video
- Length: up to 1 minute
- Format: vertical (9:16)
- Film in HD quality (most phones record in HD by default)
- Language: any official language of the eligible countries (add English subtitles if not in English)
How to apply
- Upload your video to YouTube Shorts as an unlisted video
- Add a clear title and description
- Submit your application form with your details and the YouTube link
Prizes
- A trip to Brussels for a 3-day DiscoverEU Video Workshop (April 2026) with travel, accommodation and meals covered.
- An Interrail Pass to travel and create new videos across Europe.
Your videos will be featured on the DiscoverEU and European Youth social media channels managed by the European Commission, Eurodesk and Erasmus+ National Agencies.
