The Council of Europe offers two traineeship sessions each year, lasting two to five months in Strasbourg. Traineeships take place on March and October and are remunerated.
Eligible applicants
- Be aged 18+
- Nationals of one of the Council of Europe’s member states;
- Trainees must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent ( a diploma for the first cycle of higher education as defined in the Bologna Declaration) at the time of the application;
- Trainees must have a very good knowledge of one of the Council of Europe’s official languages (English or French). A good knowledge of the other language is helpful.

Grant
Trainees receive a monthly allowance of approximately 640 €.
