Applicants for a student scholarship<\/span><\/p>\n<p>1. Student scholarship &#8211; general<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First-generation students, students with a migrant background, or students from universities of applied sciences (\u2018Fachhochschulen\u2019).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Students in mathematics, informatics, natural sciences, or technical subjects, especially with an environmental focus (e.g. environmental studies, climate studies, renewable energies etc.).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can apply before you begin your study programme or within the first three semesters (at the time of application).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proficiency in German is a requirement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Student scholarship \u2013 journalism programme \u201eMedienvielfalt, anders: Junge Migrantinnen und Migranten in den Journalismus&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is aimed at students with a migrant background who want to become journalists.<\/li>\n<li>You can apply before you begin your study programme or within the first three semesters.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in German is a requirement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">B. Applicants for a doctoral scholarship (PhD)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1. Doctoral scholarship (PhD)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">All subjects<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applicants must provide proof that they have been accepted as a doctoral student by an institution of higher education in Germany or an EU country.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Preference will be given to dissertation projects related to the working areas of the Heinrich B\u00f6ll Foundation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. Doctoral scholarship: Focus programme &#8220;Transformation Research&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Doctoral students from Germany who would like to apply for this focus programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By\u00a0<strong>1 March<\/strong>\u00a0applications can be submitted by:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A. Applicants for a student scholarship<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1.
