Solidarity Projects &#8211; Several countries"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"modal--title\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>A Solidarity Project is a non-profit solidarity activity initiated, developed and implemented by young people themselves for a period from 2 to 12 months.\u00a0It gives a group of minimum 5 young persons the chance to express solidarity by taking responsibility and committing themselves to bring positive change in their local community,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>although some of them can also tackle regional or even national issues.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/solidarity-project.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-133289 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/solidarity-project.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"622\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/solidarity-project.png 622w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/solidarity-project-300x163.png 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/solidarity-project-620x337.png 620w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 622px) 100vw, 622px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Solidarity Projects should address key challenges within the communities, where relevant including those identified jointly in the border regions and it should also present European added value.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Who can take part<\/strong><br \/>\nA group of minimum 5 young people, aged between 18 and 30 years, who are legally residing in one and the same EU Member State or a third country associated to the Programme\u00a0and have registered in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youth.europa.eu\/solidarity_en\">European Solidarity Corps Portal.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How does it work<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Solidarity Projects should address key challenges within the communities but should also clearly present European added value.<br \/>\nParticipation in a solidarity project is an important non-formal learning experience through which young people can enhance their personal, educational, social and civic development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A solidarity project will typically consist of the following stages:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; Planning;<br \/>\n&#8211; Preparation;<br \/>\n&#8211; Implementation of the activities;<br \/>\n&#8211; Follow-up (including the evaluation of the activities as well as the dissemination of project&#8217;s result).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The activities will take place in the country of residence of the participants, facilitating the participation of young people with fewer opportunities who may encounter difficulties engaging in transnational activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In cases in which the project addresses cross-border challenges, project activities can also take place in cross-border regions of the EU Member States, third countries associated to\u00a0the Programme and third countries non-associated to the Programme sharing the border with the country of the applicant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the participants will assume the role of a legal representative who will be in charge of submitting the application (unless an organisation applies on behalf of the group).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Young people implementing Solidarity Projects should design accessible and inclusive activities, taking into account the needs of participants with fewer opportunities.<br \/>\nSpecial funding for the participation of young people with fewer opportunities is available both for the members of the group and the target group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Solidarity Projects should promote environmentally sustainable and responsible behaviour among participants, raising awareness about the importance of acting to reduce or compensate for the environmental footprint of activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Projects should also make use of digital tools and learning methods to complement physical activities.<br \/>\nProjects\u00a0should also\u00a0offer young people relevant opportunities to actively engage and participate in democratic life.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Organisation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nA group of young people who plan a solidarity project can also seek for support from an organisation which can be any public or private body.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nAn organisation may apply on their behalf for a grant under the European Solidarity Corps.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe role of the organisation should be mainly administrative, to support the group in the project life-cycle administrative and financial tasks. However it can also offer support and guidance in identifying and documenting learning outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Coach<\/strong><br \/>\nYoung people carrying out a Solidarity Project may be supported by a coach, a volunteer or professional person, who could have youth work experience to accompany groups of young people and support their participation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funding<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>630 EUR per month.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Who can submit the application<\/strong><br \/>\nThe group that will implement the project.
