The IFCD supports projects that aim to foster the emergence of a dynamic cultural sector, primarily by facilitating the introduction of new cultural policies and cultural industries, or strengthening existing ones.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/resized_-_call_photo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-66708 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/resized_-_call_photo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"394\" height=\"215\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/resized_-_call_photo.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/resized_-_call_photo-300x164.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 394px) 100vw, 394px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The beneficiaries of the Fund are developing,\u00a0economies in transition\u00a0and least-developed countries that are Parties to the Convention.<br \/>\nTherefore, those who are eligible to apply to the Fund are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Public authorities and institutions from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.unesco.org\/creativity\/sites\/creativity\/files\/list_eligible_countries_ifcd_11call_2020_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eligible countries<\/a>\u00a0(developing countries Parties to the 2005 Convention).<\/li>\n<li>Non-governmental organisations from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.unesco.org\/creativity\/sites\/creativity\/files\/list_eligible_countries_ifcd_11call_2020_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eligible countries<\/a>\u00a0(developing countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention), which meet the definition of\u00a0<em>civil society<\/em>\u00a0as mentioned in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/fileadmin\/multimedia\/hq\/clt\/diversity\/pdf\/convention_2005\/operational_guidelines\/article11_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Operational guidelines relating to the role and participation of civil society<\/u><\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>International non-governmental organisations, registered in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/eri\/la\/convention.asp?KO=31038&amp;language=E&amp;order=alpha\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">countries Parties to the 2005 Convention<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Projects<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Projects must be implemented and\/or benefit only\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.unesco.org\/creativity\/sites\/creativity\/files\/list_eligible_countries_ifcd_11call_2020_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eligible countries<\/a>\u00a0(developing countries Parties to the 2005 Convention).<br \/>\nThe project implementation period shall be between 12 and 24 months.<br \/>\nThe projects should start, at the earliest, in April 2022, following the approval of the project by the Intergovernmental Committee in February 2022.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>All funding requests are to be sent to the relevant National Commissions for UNESCO or other official channels designated by the States Parties, who will then submit them to the Secretariat of the Convention.<br \/>\nINGOs should submit applications directly to the Secretariat of the Convention if their programme\/project proposals are supported in writing by the States Parties concerned.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Budget<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Maximum amount that can be requested from the IFCD is $100,000 for programmes\/projects.<\/p>\n<p>Application should be completed in either English or French.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Deadline<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>16\u00a0June\u00a02021, 23:59 CET.<\/p>\n<h3>More information<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/programmes.eurodesk.eu\/grants#64059\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eurodesk &#8211; Call<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The purpose of the IFCD is to promote sustainable development and poverty reduction in developing countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
