The aim is to provide real time information about the train, accessible to all, including information on the location, departure, destination, compositition and punctuality.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/cologne-1527780_1920.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-58359\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/cologne-1527780_1920.jpg\" alt=\"Horizon 2020: innovative solution that will allow tracking all commercial freight trains , covering the whole European network\" width=\"628\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/cologne-1527780_1920.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/cologne-1527780_1920-300x153.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/cologne-1527780_1920-1024x521.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/cologne-1527780_1920-768x391.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/cologne-1527780_1920-1536x782.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In particular, the single solution (interface,tools,etc.) will ensure:<\/p>\n<p>A seamless tracking (possibly from path request until operation) of commercial trains across Europe in Infrastructure Managers networks and beyond, in synergy with \u201cTelematics Applications for Freight services\u201d (hereinafter TAF) compatible messages and existing online tools.<\/p>\n<p>A service to track commercial trains across Europe, including tailormade access to data within TAF environment Railway Undertakings(RU), Infrastructure Managers (IM), TIS (Train Information System from Rail Net Europe (RNE)), terminals, port authorities and combined transports operators, etc. adaptable to the needs of different users.<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>Eligibility and exclusion criteria: described in part 8 of the Rules for Contest.<\/p>\n<p>All applications will be submitted to a jury review. The jury will evaluate each application against the award criteria. The applications that pass the threshold will be invited to demonstrate their solution.<\/p>\n<p>The 2 best applications shall be invited as finalists in an event with stakeholders to demonstrate their solution and for a hearing with the jury.
