The current post-doc or research engineer position concerns mainly Work Package n\u00b03 of the project, which investigates how stroke rate and speed influence motor coordination and energetic cost.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/swimmers-79592_1920.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-55853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/swimmers-79592_1920.jpg\" alt=\"Postdoct position in Physiological Responses and Human Movement Analysis in Top Elite Swimming\" width=\"608\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/swimmers-79592_1920.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/swimmers-79592_1920-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/swimmers-79592_1920-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/swimmers-79592_1920-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/swimmers-79592_1920-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 608px) 100vw, 608px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Description<\/h3>\n<p class=\"CxSpMiddle\">The two laboratories (UR) CETAPS (location Rouen, Haute-Normandie, France) and APERE lab (location Amiens, Hauts de France, France), are in charge of dealing with the scientific issues related to the behavioral patterns transition in swimming, and more specifically:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"CxSpMiddle\">To the effects of swimming speed and swimming style on the swimmer&#8217;s coordination in terms of stroke frequency and stroke length management during the stroke cycle (biomechanics of swimming)<\/li>\n<li class=\"CxSpMiddle\">To the relationships between the different combinations of stroke frequency and stroke length and the contribution of aerobic and anaerobic metabolisms to the swimmer&#8217;s energy expenditure (exercise physiology applied to swimming)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The post-doc will spend part time at Amiens and part time at Rouen, knowing that 75min separate the 2 locations. Arrangements can be discussed to organise works between those two locations<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<div class=\"description__paragraph paragraph\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-sm-8 col-sm-offset-2 col-md-6 col-md-offset-3\">\n<div id=\"bootstrap-fieldgroup-accordion--accordion-group\" class=\"panel-group bootstrap-fieldgroup-accordion\">\n<div class=\"panel panel-default required-fields expanded\">\n<div id=\"bootstrap-fieldgroup-accordion-item--requirements-1\" class=\"panel-collapse required-fields collapse in\" aria-expanded=\"true\">\n<div class=\"panel-body\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 field-offer-requirements\">\n<div class=\"longtext field-skills-qualifications\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"CxSpMiddle\">The candidate is requested to have a PhD in behavioural sciences that could focus either on movement analysis and motor control or further on bioeneregetics and biomechanics<\/li>\n<li class=\"CxSpMiddle\">An important knowledge of the biomechanical and physiological requirements of the four common strokes (freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke)<\/li>\n<li class=\"CxSpMiddle\">An important knowledge of measurements by back-extrapolation technique from breath-to-breath gas exchanges<\/li>\n<li class=\"CxSpMiddle\">Strong knowledge in measurement techniques by near-infrared spectrometry (NIRS) of muscle oxygenation.
