{"id":54429,"date":"2020-10-19T03:00:04","date_gmt":"2020-10-19T01:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=54429"},"modified":"2021-11-17T09:53:02","modified_gmt":"2021-11-17T08:53:02","slug":"scientific-coordinator-in-the-european-centre-for-disease-prevention-and-control","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/scientific-coordinator-in-the-european-centre-for-disease-prevention-and-control\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientific Coordinator in the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Applications are invited for the above Contract Agent post at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/doctor-medical-medicine-health-42273.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-15707\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/doctor-medical-medicine-health-42273.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"515\" height=\"343\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/doctor-medical-medicine-health-42273.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/doctor-medical-medicine-health-42273-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 515px) 100vw, 515px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Job description<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>The jobholder will contribute to the implementation of one of ECDC\u2019s projects entitled EU Initiative on Health Security (EU HSI), specifically for the workforce-oriented capability building (MediPIET).<\/p>\n<p>The jobholder will report to the Head of Fellowship Programme, in the Public Health Training Section, Public Health Functions Unit.<\/p>\n<p>He\/She will be responsible in particular for the following areas of work:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify, assess and promote project opportunities and assignments for the \u201clearning by doing\u201d training of the MediPIET fellows, including international assignments, considering the MediPIET core competencies and curriculum;<\/li>\n<li>Mentor fellows, developing a relationship by sharing experience, exploring expectations, clarifying the roles of coordinator, fellow and supervisor, and guiding both MediPIET fellows and supervisors;<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support and monitor the fellow\u2019s progress;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the organisation of training modules, and their subsequent evaluation;<\/li>\n<li>Identify, review and develop content and training materials, applying learning methods, for modules, including practical case studies, blended learning, and train the trainers;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the strategic development of the programme and its promotion;<\/li>\n<li>Further develop the MediPIET curricular guide and other key technical documents;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to continuous quality improvement at host sites, providing support to supervisors in the development of their skills and techniques as trainers and mentors;<\/li>\n<li>Promote region-wide participation of national institutes in the training activities and encourage partners networking to share training resources;<\/li>\n<li>Closely liaise with the MediPIET partner institutions within the framework of the MediPIET \u201cTraining Sites\u201d and \u201cTraining Centre Forum\u201d;<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the ECDC Fellowship Programme (EPIET and EUPHEM), and with other relevant training programmes in the region;<\/li>\n<li>Represent MediPIET in relevant scientific meetings and conferences;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to project management and administrative\/budgetary oversight of training activities (e.g. modules, training site visits);<\/li>\n<li>Any other tasks related to his\/her area of work as requested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<div id=\"ctl00_cphMain_VacNotice_PnlEligibility\">\n<h4>Formal requirements<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma and appropriate professional experience of at least 1 year;<\/li>\n<li>Thorough knowledge of one of the official EU languages and a satisfactory knowledge of another official EU language to the extent necessary for the performance of his\/her duties;<\/li>\n<li>Nationality of one of the EU Member States or of Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein;<\/li>\n<li>To be entitled to his or her full rights as a citizen;<\/li>\n<li>To have fulfilled any obligations imposed by the applicable laws on military service;<\/li>\n<li>Meet the character requirements for the duties involved;
