More than 160 professors teach and carry out research in the eight faculties. Fulda University of Applied Sciences possesses the right to award doctoral degrees according to the law governing higher education in the federal state of Hesse. A total of around 700 persons work at the University. Fulda University of Applied Sciences is known for its high teaching standards and intensive research activities, and it is marked by a strong international orientation. It offers outstanding learning and working conditions on an attractive and interconnected campus.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<h3 class=\"col-sm-8 col-sm-offset-2 col-md-6 col-md-offset-3\">Tasks<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Teach and conduct research in the specialist field of the professorship, in particular on the first three Books of the German Civil Code (BGB) as well as on individual employment law and collective labour law including the international dimensions of labour law,<\/li>\n<li>Teach, partly in English, in all Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s programmes run by the Department,<\/li>\n<li>Supervise doctoral theses,<\/li>\n<li>Perform research and transfer activities as well as build and maintain appropriate networks,<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and expand collaboration between the Department and international partners,<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the further development of study programmes and participate in the committees of the Department and the University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>PhD or equivalent in Economics.<\/li>\n<li>Either a First German state examination qualification in law or a Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degree in law,<\/li>\n<li>A PhD in law,<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of the first three Books of the German Civil Code (BGB),<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge and, if possible, practical experience in labour and employment law as well as<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in another area of business law,<\/li>\n<li>Didactic experience in the specialist field of the professorship,<\/li>\n<li>Experience in research, demonstrated by relevant specialist publications,<\/li>\n<li>Experience gained abroad or in an international context,<\/li>\n<li>Excellent English language skills, especially the ability and willingness to conduct teaching in English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Benefits<\/h3>\n<div class=\"longtext field-benefits\">\n<p>A person appointed professor for the first time will have the status of a civil servant on probation in accordance with Article 61 (7) HHG. The probationary period is three years.
