Own elaboration.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The countries with the fewest infections to date are <strong>Papua New Guinea<\/strong> (8), <strong>Fiji<\/strong> (18), <strong>Cambodia<\/strong> (128), <strong>Mongolia<\/strong> (197) and <strong>Vietnam<\/strong> (335). Again, looking at the number of infections per 100,000 population, the countries least affected by the pandemic to date would be <strong>Papua New Guinea<\/strong> (0.11), <strong>Vietnam<\/strong> (0.35), <strong>Cambodia<\/strong> (0.8), <strong>Fiji<\/strong> (1.96) and <strong>China<\/strong> (6.14).<\/p>\n<h3>Deaths due to Covid-19<\/h3>\n<p>In terms of the lethality of the disease caused by the virus, the countries that have recorded the highest number of deaths to date are <strong>China<\/strong> (4,638), the <strong>Philippines<\/strong> (1,108), <strong>Japan<\/strong> (935), <strong>South Korea<\/strong> (279) and <strong>Malaysia<\/strong> (121).
