BEST organises different activities where students from member universities get the opportunity to increase their international experience, establish contacts, improve their English and have fun. Each BEST Course is attended by 20-30 students of engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Local BEST groups arrange short (1-2 weeks long) courses throughout the year, where engineering students get the chance to learn more about a specific topic in their field of interest. BEST also organises seminars on educational issues, engineering competitions and leisure events.<br \/>\nIn a learning event, participants attend lectures given by the university&#8217;s teaching staff or by experts from companies.\u00a0 They visit companies, industrial plants or research centres and sometimes take part in case studies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topics<\/strong>\u00a0of the learning events cover mainly different technology fields, economics, marketing and management.<br \/>\nAt the end of the course, students take an exam, which is designed to test the results of the course and evaluate the participants&#8217; success. An increasing number of courses are recognised by many universities and students attending these courses can get credit from their home universities.<\/p>\n<p>You can find a list of\u00a0<strong>BEST courses<\/strong>\u00a0here:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/best.eu.org\/courses\/list.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/best.eu.org\/courses\/list.jsp<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Organisation:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The organising local BEST group takes care of accommodation and subsistence during the entire event, transportation to lectures and all activities related to the contents of the event, teaching and material costs and social activities.<br \/>\nDepending on the situation of the local BEST group, there might be a participation fee.<br \/>\nThe maximum fee is 5\u00a0Euro per day (but no more than 55 EUR in total).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Who can apply<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Students of technology from universities with a Local BEST Group.
