{"id":35810,"date":"2020-10-02T03:00:28","date_gmt":"2020-10-02T01:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=35810"},"modified":"2020-10-01T11:35:55","modified_gmt":"2020-10-01T09:35:55","slug":"traineeships-in-the-court-of-justice-of-the-european-union","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/traineeships-in-the-court-of-justice-of-the-european-union\/","title":{"rendered":"Traineeships in the Court of Justice of the European Union"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Every year, the Court of Justice of the European Union offers a limited number of paid traineeships of five months\u2019 duration in the chambers of Members of the Court of Justice and the General Court and in the administrative departments of the Court.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/court-of-Justice.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-53514 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/court-of-Justice.jpg\" alt=\"Traineeships-court-of-Justice\" width=\"550\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/court-of-Justice.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/court-of-Justice-300x164.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Interpreting traineeships last from 10 to 12 weeks and are addressed to newly qualified conference interpreters whose language combination is of interest to the Interpretation Directorate.<\/p>\n<p>The trainees have the possibility to perfect their interpreting skills, particularly in legal interpreting, through the preparation of case-files, terminological research and practical exercises in a \u2018silent booth\u2019.<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>Trainees are required to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be citizens of a Member State of the EU;<\/li>\n<li>have a university degree in Law or Political Science (law should be dominant) or, for traineeships in the Interpretation Directorate, a diploma in conference interpreting, if necessary complemented by a post-graduate diploma, or equivalent professional experience;<\/li>\n<li>have a perfect knowledge of one of the official languages of the EU, and a good knowledge of a second.
