Very occasionally, such opportunities are also offered to undergraduate students.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Aims<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These assignments give students an opportunity to put their learning into practice, to gain an insight into the ECB&#8217;s activities and operations but also to contribute, directly or indirectly, to the ECB&#8217;s mission.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Traineeships are offered for periods of three to twelve months. The work range from research and the preparation of draft reports to the compilation of statistical data and participation in ad hoc studies, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Trainees receive a grant\u00a0per month, depending on the tasks and on their qualifications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Various traineeship opportunities may become available throughout the year ECB-wide. In addition, there are two regular programmes: The ECB\u00a0Student Research Traineeship\u00a0Programme\u00a0offered by the Directorate General Research (DG-R) and the ECB Statistics Traineeship Programme offered by the Directorate General Statistics (DG-S).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The\u00a0Student Research Traineeship Programme:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This programme is aimed at high-performing students, with a strong quantitative background and an interest in policy-relevant and applied research. eligible candidates should\u00a0have completed a bachelor\u2019s degree in economics, statistics, finance, computer science, mathematics or a related field, and you are enrolled in postgraduate studies (master\u2019s or PhD) for the same subject fields.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Eligible candidates<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>be at least 18 and be fluent in English and in another official language of the EU;<\/li>\n<li>be a national of a Member State of the EU or of an acceding country;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0have completed at least a first cycle qualification (bachelor\u2019s degree);<\/li>\n<li>and since their most recent qualification:<\/li>\n<li>they should have a maximum of 12 months\u2019 professional experience<\/li>\n<li>they should have been a trainee for no more than 6 months<\/li>\n<li>they must not have been an ECB trainee or worked for the ECB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">14 December 2023<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>More information:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/programmes.eurodesk.eu\/internships#19661-eu\">Eurodesk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Central Bank offers traineeship opportunities to students of economics, finance statistics, business administration, law, human resources, translation, etc. Applicants should be enrolled in post-graduate or graduate studies.
