{"id":27867,"date":"2019-10-25T03:00:25","date_gmt":"2019-10-25T01:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=27867"},"modified":"2019-10-24T11:15:43","modified_gmt":"2019-10-24T09:15:43","slug":"h2020-nanotechnologies-advanced-materials-biotechnology-and-advanced-manufacturing-and-processing-creating-an-open-market-place-for-industrial-data-ria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/h2020-nanotechnologies-advanced-materials-biotechnology-and-advanced-manufacturing-and-processing-creating-an-open-market-place-for-industrial-data-ria\/","title":{"rendered":"H2020: Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing: Creating an open market place for industrial data (RIA)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traducci\u00f3n\"><em><strong>In line with the objectives of Open Science and Open Innovation, the challenge is to make data FAIR through an effective common information system that allows in particular business-to-business data sharing.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traducci\u00f3n\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/C\u00f3mo-utilizar-macrodatos-e-inteligencia-artificial-para-mejorar-la-seguridad-aeron\u00e1utica.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-17966 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/C\u00f3mo-utilizar-macrodatos-e-inteligencia-artificial-para-mejorar-la-seguridad-aeron\u00e1utica-300x188.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/C\u00f3mo-utilizar-macrodatos-e-inteligencia-artificial-para-mejorar-la-seguridad-aeron\u00e1utica-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/C\u00f3mo-utilizar-macrodatos-e-inteligencia-artificial-para-mejorar-la-seguridad-aeron\u00e1utica.png 689w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<h3 id=\"tw-target-text\" class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traducci\u00f3n\"><span class=\"topicdescriptionkind\">Specific Challenge<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Such a system should take the form of a user-friendly, state-of-the-art marketplace that is open to all providers and users of data to maximise the spill over of knowledge across all economic sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The marketplace\u00a0should be based on standardised documentation of data, agreed ontologies as gradually provided by NMBP-39-2020 (Towards Standardised Documentation of Data through taxonomies and ontologies) and be flexible to adapt to the emerging developments of <em>Industry Commons<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traducci\u00f3n\"><span lang=\"es\" tabindex=\"0\">Scope<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Proposals must address all the areas below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build an effective information system based on a widely agreed standardised data documentation ensuring semantic interoperability using metadata and a widely agreed ontology for the domains covered by this work programme;<\/li>\n<li>Encourage sharing of data and population of the information system with an ontology-based documentation of distributed open and confidential databases<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate and demonstrate collaboration by creating a collaborative space using existing generic data platforms (e.g. created in Call ICT-13-2018-2019, DT-NMBP-20-2018) that can operate based on the agreed ontology;<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate extracting, analysing and re-using of the data with modern data processing technologies e.g. Artificial Intelligence;<\/li>\n<li>Provide innovative trainings and manuals for the use of the market place and its data documentation;<\/li>\n<li>Deliver at least five business-to-business success stories based on data sharing and launch three hackathons targeted at innovators and young people;<\/li>\n<li>Develop a business model for the maintenance of the market place demonstrating its sustainability beyond the funding period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traducci\u00f3n\">Proposals submitted under this topic should include a business case and exploitation strategy.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traducci\u00f3n\">The Commission considers that proposals requesting a contribution from the EU around EUR 4 million would allow this specific challenge to be addressed appropriately. Nonetheless, this does not preclude submission and selection of proposals requesting other amounts.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traducci\u00f3n\"><span class=\"topicdescriptionkind\">Expected Impact<\/span><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traducci\u00f3n\">Proposals must address all the following impact criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An operational and accessible, user-friendly open market place for data, knowledge, tools and services to enable new or improved products, processes and services for any sector of the economy.<\/li>\n<li>Increased collaboration and trust between data suppliers and data users gaining also a competitive advantage for them.<\/li>\n<li>Increased diffusion and creation of new market opportunities and new solutions by facilitating data based innovation across the economy.<\/li>\n<li>Improved effectiveness and responsiveness of decision-making, in particular based on materials, product and process information.<\/li>\n<li>Improved quality by design reducing the costs and time to market and speeding up the rate of industrial transformation to high-added-value products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>More information<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/portal\/screen\/opportunities\/topic-details\/dt-nmbp-40-2020;freeTextSearchKeyword=;typeCodes=1;statusCodes=31094502;programCode=H2020;programDivisionCode=31047847;focusAreaCode=null;crossCuttingPriorityCode=null;callCode=Default;sortQuery=openingDate;orderBy=asc;onlyTenders=false;topicListKey=topicSearchTablePageState\">Call<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In line with the objectives of Open Science and Open Innovation, the challenge is to make data FAIR through an effective common information system that allows in particular business-to-business data sharing.
