{"id":27599,"date":"2019-10-21T03:00:08","date_gmt":"2019-10-21T01:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=27599"},"modified":"2019-10-19T22:53:26","modified_gmt":"2019-10-19T20:53:26","slug":"h2020-secure-clean-and-efficient-energy-increase-performance-and-reliability-of-photovoltaic-plants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/h2020-secure-clean-and-efficient-energy-increase-performance-and-reliability-of-photovoltaic-plants\/","title":{"rendered":"H2020: Secure, clean and efficient energy: Increase performance and reliability of photovoltaic plants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>This call includes the contribution of the Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge &#8220;Secure, clean and efficient energy&#8221; to the focus area &#8220;Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future&#8221; which underpins the goals of the Paris Agreement and the &#8220;Clean Energy for all European&#8221; package.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Energ\u00eda-solar-fotovoltaica.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10527 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Energ\u00eda-solar-fotovoltaica-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Energ\u00eda-solar-fotovoltaica-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Energ\u00eda-solar-fotovoltaica-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Energ\u00eda-solar-fotovoltaica.png 953w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Objective<\/h3>\n<p>To accurately predict and measure the contribution of PV systems (including floating PV) to the power network, and to increase their lifetime, reliability and profitability, it is necessary to establish accurate operation (and fault diagnostic) models.<\/p>\n<p>Reliability assessment and improvement (with all it entails for the distribution network reliability) can be achieved by identifying and minimising risk factors and failure rates of the PV system and its components.<\/p>\n<h3>Scope<\/h3>\n<p>Proposals will develop and demonstrate technical solutions, processes and models, which increase a PV system&#8217;s operational stability and reliability, allowing for higher PV penetration levels.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals are expected to address specific objectives such as the reliability of system components, advanced and automated functions for data analysis, diagnosis and fault detection, forecasting and model-predictive control frameworks, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals are expected to bring the technologies from TRL 6-7 to TRL 7-8 (please see part G of the General Annexes).<\/p>\n<p>The Commission considers that proposals requesting a contribution from the EU of between EUR 6 to 10 million would allow this challenge to be addressed appropriately.
