{"id":23499,"date":"2019-07-31T08:00:32","date_gmt":"2019-07-31T06:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=23499"},"modified":"2019-07-30T09:30:29","modified_gmt":"2019-07-30T07:30:29","slug":"esc-volunteering-teams-in-high-priority-areas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/esc-volunteering-teams-in-high-priority-areas\/","title":{"rendered":"ESC Volunteering Teams in high priority areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ESC.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-23496\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ESC-300x164.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"164\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ESC-300x164.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ESC.jpg 550w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>European Solidarity Corps Volunteering Teams in high priority areas\u00a0are large-scale projects supporting volunteering teams activities with the aim to carry out short-term high-impact interventions that address societal challenges in policy areas defined at EU level.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The European Solidarity Corps aims to promote solidarity as a value, mainly through volunteering, to enhance the engagement of young people and organisations in accessible and high-quality solidarity activities as a means to contribute to strengthening cohesion, solidarity, democracy and citizenship in Europe.<\/p>\n<h3>Objectives<\/h3>\n<p>Volunteering Teams in high priority areas will particularly aim to:<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0address clearly defined unmet societal needs;<br \/>\n&#8211; promote solidarity across Member States;<br \/>\n&#8211; enable the young volunteer(s) to gain skills and competences which are useful for their personal, educational, social and professional development;<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0provide tangible benefits to the communities within which the activities are carried out;<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0reach out to young people with fewer opportunities including refugees, asylum seekers and migrants;<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0promote diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights;<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0enhance media literacy, critical thinking and sense of initiative of young people;<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0reinforce the capacities and international scope of the participating organisations;<br \/>\n&#8211; raise participants\u2019 awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries, offering them the opportunity to build networks of international contacts, to actively participate in society and develop a sense of European citizenship and identity;<\/p>\n<h3>Who can apply<\/h3>\n<p>Public and private organisations established in the 28 Member States of the European Union, holding a valid Erasmus+ volunteering accreditation or Quality Label for volunteering at the application deadline.<\/p>\n<p><em>For British applicants:\u00a0<\/em>Please be aware that eligibility criteria must be complied with for the\u00a0entire\u00a0duration of the grant.
