Applicants are expected to develop ready-to-market solutions or projects that have great market potential for Korea and Spain.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/ue-corea-690x450.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9232 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/ue-corea-690x450-300x196.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"196\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/ue-corea-690x450-300x196.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/ue-corea-690x450.jpg 690w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>KIAT (Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology)<\/strong> and <strong>CDTI-EPE (Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology, E.P.E.)<\/strong> will provide access to public funding for joint projects. Support shall be granted to each partner by its own Authorities, in accordance with existing laws, rules, regulations and national procedures, on the basis of non-exchange of funds between those Authorities and subject to budgetary availability.KIAT and CDTI-EPE will provide all necessary assistance to project partners during project proposal, evaluation and monitoring phase. In addition, both parties will facilitate EUREKA application process and the acquisition of the EUREKA label for accepted proposals.<\/p>\n<p>The call is announced within the framework of the bilateral Cooperation Agreement on Industrial Cooperation between KIAT and CDTI-EPE. The call is managed in cooperation and in line with the procedures of EUREKA Programme.<\/p>\n<h2>Objective<\/h2>\n<p>The main objective is to develop innovative projects ready to be commercialized, which also have great market potential for Korea and Spain. In order to do so, it must collaborate with partners, who must be at least one Korean company and one Spanish company that carries out R&amp;D activities. The participation of research institutes\/universities is welcome as additional participants or subcontractors according to the funding regulations of each country.<\/p>\n<p>The project should have an obvious advantage and added value resulting from the cooperation between the participants from the two countries and should meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technological excellence and qualification of the applicants (assessment by external referees or expert committee).<\/li>\n<li>Contribution to the competitiveness in the area of research.<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability of the project: long-term strategy of the partnership.<\/li>\n<li>Intensity of the collaboration with between the Korean and Spanish partners.<\/li>\n<li>Ability of the teams to successfully conclude the project.<\/li>\n<li>Mutual advancement of research through the transfer of knowledge and expertise.<\/li>\n<li>The project should demonstrate the contribution of the participants from both countries and must be significant to them.<\/li>\n<li>All the technological areas are welcome although the targeted industrial areas are preferred: Bio including Health; Green technologies, including Energy; Smart city and Transportation; Information and Communication technologies; Nanotechnology; Materials; New Production Technologies and Aerospace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Deadline<\/h2>\n<p>30th of August, 2019<\/p>\n<h2>More information<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurekanetwork.org\/korea-spain-call-for-projects-2019\">Call for projects<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Korea and Spain announce the call for proposals for joint R&amp;D projects, which is part of EUREKA!, focused on the development of innovative products and applications in all areas of technology and application.
