The <strong>European Central Bank (ECB)<\/strong> offers a paid internship programme for student research assistants at its <strong>Directorate General for Research<\/strong> in Frankfurt am Main (Germany).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This opportunity is aimed at graduates in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics or related disciplines who wish to take part in research projects and contribute to the analysis of current economic and financial issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the placement, you will be part of a team of around 25 economists conducting research relevant to economic policy-making. Key areas of work include macro-financial interrelationships, the interaction between monetary and financial stability policies, financial innovations \u2014 such as fintech, artificial intelligence and digital currencies \u2014 and the financial implications of climate change.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Benefits:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> \u20ac1,170 per month plus a housing allowance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Professional experience<\/strong> at the European Central Bank alongside specialist economists.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Practical training<\/strong> in economic and financial research.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Development of<\/strong> analytical, statistical and econometric <strong>skills<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Professional and academic development<\/strong> for future postgraduate studies or research careers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>An international and multicultural environment<\/strong>, working alongside professionals from different countries.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Involvement in innovative projects<\/strong> with an impact on European society.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-pm-slice=\"1 3 []\"><strong>Duties and responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Creating and maintaining economic, monetary and financial <strong>databases<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out <strong>statistical, economic and time-series analyses<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Apply <strong>mathematical, statistical and econometric<\/strong> methods.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate on the development and estimation of <strong>macroeconomic and financial models<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Support the maintenance of <strong>IT tools<\/strong> used in research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 3 []\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>1. General requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>A university degree in <strong>Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics<\/strong> or related disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in at least one of the following areas: <strong>analysis of large databases, microeconometrics, time series or DSGE models<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of at least one of the following programmes: <strong>Stata, MATLAB, Python or R<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in <strong>Microsoft Office<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>C1<\/strong> level <strong>in English<\/strong> and <strong>B1<\/strong> level <strong>in another official EU language<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>2.
