The <strong>European Central Bank (ECB)<\/strong> is offering <strong>five<\/strong> internship opportunities in <strong>Frankfurt am Main, Germany<\/strong>, aimed at a wide range of profiles: from economics, finance and statistics to human resources, language technology and data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">All <strong>five<\/strong> opportunities share the following conditions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Location:<\/strong> Frankfurt am Main, Germany.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Working hours:<\/strong> full-time.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Stipend:<\/strong> <strong>\u20ac1,170 per month<\/strong> plus a housing allowance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Duration:<\/strong> between <strong>3 and 6 months<\/strong>, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of 12 months.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Open to <strong>EU citizens<\/strong> who meet the requirements of the ECB\u2019s traineeship programme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>C1 level in English<\/strong> and <strong>B1 level in at least one other official EU language<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We are looking for curious individuals with the ability to analyse complex information, work in a team, learn and thrive in a multicultural environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The internship offers the opportunity to gain professional experience and participate in real ECB projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">1. Internship in Statistics and Data Science<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This placement takes place within the Directorate General for Statistics and involves the management and analysis of <strong>data and statistics used in the fields of monetary policy and banking supervision<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Graduates in statistics, data science, economics, finance, mathematics, computer science, operational research or other related fields.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Experience with tools or languages such as <strong>Python, R, SQL, MATLAB, SAS, Stata, Power BI or Tableau<\/strong> is required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Knowledge of financial and macroeconomic statistics, financial markets, banking supervision, artificial intelligence and machine learning is an advantage.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Role of the intern:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Collect, validate, manage and analyse data.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Work with large datasets and metadata.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Participate in the production and publication of statistics.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Develop data management tools and processes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Take part in projects relating to <strong>AI and digital transformation<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>&#x23f3;&#x1f4c5; Deadline: 1 October 2026.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">2. Training programme for a language technologist\/terminologist.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This placement takes place within the Directorate-General for Communications, as part of the team specialising in <strong>language technology and terminology<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Role of the trainee:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Test and customise computer-assisted translation tools.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Maintain translation memories.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Evaluate <strong>generative AI<\/strong> applications for linguistic tasks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Preparing bilingual data for machine translation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Research terminology and manage terminology databases.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Produce documentation and user guides.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Degree holders in language technology, terminology, translation, computational linguistics or related fields.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Practical experience with tools such as <strong>RWS Trados<\/strong>, machine translation software and AI is required.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>&#x23f3;&#x1f4c5; Deadline: 5 October 2026.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">3. Internship in the Accounting Section<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This opportunity is based in the Finance Directorate, within the Accounting Section.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Role of the intern:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">To participate in <strong>financial accounting<\/strong> processes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Work with accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets and month-end closings.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Support the analysis and presentation of financial data.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Take part in the optimisation and digitisation of processes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Contribute to the development of business solutions and automation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or other related fields.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Knowledge of accounting or technology applied to financial accounting and advanced <strong>Excel<\/strong> skills are required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Knowledge of <strong>SAP<\/strong>, data analysis and programming \u2013 particularly Python \u2013 is an advantage.
