{"id":17063,"date":"2019-05-08T08:00:10","date_gmt":"2019-05-08T06:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=17063"},"modified":"2019-05-07T15:18:25","modified_gmt":"2019-05-07T13:18:25","slug":"eurocities-policy-transfer-on-innovative-solutions-to-combat-long-term-unemployment-through-social-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/eurocities-policy-transfer-on-innovative-solutions-to-combat-long-term-unemployment-through-social-economy\/","title":{"rendered":"EUROCITIES: policy transfer on innovative solutions to combat long-term unemployment through social economy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"content-center col-xs-12 col-md-9 col-lg-6\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/EuroCities.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-17061 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/EuroCities-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/EuroCities-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/EuroCities.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>EUROCITIES policy transfer on innovative solutions to combat long-term unemployment through social economy, 27-29 May, Lille<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the third quarter of 2018, there were around 6.9 million people unemployment for more than a year in the EU, of whom 4.3 million were unemployed for more than two years.<\/p>\n<p>EUROCITIES as a member of the Urban Agenda for the EU Partnership on Jobs and Skills in the Local Economy, is organising a study visit to Lille on\u00a027-29 May 2019 to study innovative solutions to fight long term unemployment through social economy.<\/p>\n<p>The study visit is intended for cities that take part in the EUROCITIES Working Groups on\u00a0Smart Social Inclusion and on\u00a0Entrepreneurship\u00a0and SMEs.<\/p>\n<p>The focus is on Lille Metropole\u2019s integrated approach to combat long-term unemployment in the most deprived neighbourhoods of the metropole, by offering new opportunities and new services through social economy.\u00a0The ultimate goal is to strengthen the capacity of cities to develop and implement innovative urban solutions for fighting long-term unemployment.<\/p>\n<p>The participants will have the opportunity to visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lillemetropole.fr\/fr\/territoire-zero-chomeurs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8216;Job Factory&#8217; (La Fabrique de l&#8217;emploi)<\/a>\u00a0and to get in-depth understanding on three good practices that have been implemented in order to realise these objectives (Mobility platform, Call for social economy projects and Entrepreneurship Factory).<\/p>\n<p>The organisers are looking for four\u00a0cities\u00a0that\u00a0have already implemented a policy or practice in this area and are willing to share\/develop\u00a0their initiative or\u00a0cities that are committed to implement a new policy or project on this topic.\u00a0If selected, EUROCITIES will reimburse the travel costs, accommodation and subsistence costs\u00a0for up to two representatives.<\/p>\n<h3>More information<\/h3>\n<p>Find the detailed\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nws.eurocities.eu\/MediaShell\/media\/Agenda___WG_employment_Lille_27-29_May.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agenda<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nws.eurocities.eu\/MediaShell\/media\/CONCEPT_NOTE_-_Innovative_solution_to_combat_LTU_through_social_economy_-_Lille_Metropole.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">concept note<\/a>\u00a0on the EUROCITIES website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cities are invited to apply until\u00a015 May 2019, by completing the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/wg-employment-innovative-solution-to-combat-ltu-through-social-economy-lille-metropole-27-29-may-tickets-60625383153\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online application form<\/a>\u00a0and sending it to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:patricia.couti@eurocities.eu\">patricia.couti@eurocities.eu<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EUROCITIES policy transfer on innovative solutions to combat long-term unemployment through social economy, 27-29 May, Lille In the third quarter of 2018, there were around 6.9 million people unemployment for more than a year in the EU, of whom 4.3 million were unemployed for more than two years.
