Its mission is to contribute to the integration, balanced development and economic and social cohesion of the Member States.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><span dir=\"auto\">The European Investment Fund <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">(EIF) is seeking to recruit an intern to join <\/span><i><strong><span dir=\"auto\">its Regulatory Compliance and Non-Financial Risks <\/span><\/strong><\/i><span dir=\"auto\">Departmentat its headquarters <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">in Luxembourg.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The Compliance and Non-Financial Risks Department is responsible for protecting the EIF against regulatory, operational and reputational risks. The department provides compliance advice, carries out independent reviews of applicable regulatory requirements and compliance risk assessments, supports anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML\/CTF) reviews and sanctions screening, sustainability risk and tax compliance assessments, and ensures compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements across all EIF activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><strong><u><span dir=\"auto\">During the placement, the intern will:<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Explore automation, digital workflows and GenAI concepts to identify high-value opportunities and support the future design of the EIF\u2019s compliance control framework.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Will create functional AI agents and automation tools using Copilot to actively optimise the identified compliance processes, translating concepts into tangible solutions.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><strong><u><span dir=\"auto\">Responsibilities:<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Under the supervision of the Compliance Manager and the Data and AI Advisor, the intern will:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Use Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and Power Automate to develop bespoke AI tools that optimise workflows, process documents and extract relevant data across various areas of regulatory compliance.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Support the integration of manual compliance processes into core IT systems, exploring opportunities to use GenAI to map regulatory requirements and automate internal control testing.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Implement workflow automations, carry out testing, manage document ingestion processes and establish effective validation cycles involving human intervention.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><strong><u><span dir=\"auto\">Requirements:<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">A university degree (or currently studying for one) in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Finance, Law or a similar field.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Knowledge of or academic background in machine learning, natural language processing, data processing, auditing, regulatory compliance or risk analysis.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Strong analytical and numerical skills.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Experience or interest in rapid response systems engineering, Copilot tools or workflow automation.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft tools.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Excellent command of English;
