This Directorate-General manages all matters relating to the Eurosystem\u2019s market infrastructures, including the platforms, applications and associated services in the areas of cash settlement, securities settlement and collateral management. As well as providing comprehensive support for the Eurosystem\u2019s TARGET services (TARGET2, TARGET2-Securities, TARGET Instant Payment Settlement and the Eurosystem Collateral Management System), it is constantly exploring new technological and business initiatives.<\/p>\n<div><span dir=\"auto\">As a trainee in the Finance teams, you will be required to:<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">help define pricing policies for TARGET services;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">create reporting dashboards and aggregated data sources;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">support the invoicing, accounting and financial reporting processes for all projects and services within the Directorate-General;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">collaborate with the relevant teams within the Directorate-General and other business areas of the ECB, as well as with external stakeholders of TARGET Services, in order to successfully carry out the Finance team\u2019s tasks;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Contribute to the analysis of functional, regulatory and operational scenarios.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div><span dir=\"auto\">Essential:\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">a bachelor\u2019s degree or higher qualification in finance, business administration, economics, computer science or a related discipline;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Experience in presenting complex concepts (including the visualisation of technical concepts and data) to various stakeholders and audiences;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite (including macro programming and the creation of pivot tables in Excel);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official EU language, in accordance with the<\/span><span dir=\"auto\">Common European Framework of Reference for Languages<\/span><span dir=\"auto\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span dir=\"auto\">Desirable:\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">knowledge of international financial markets, payments and securities;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">experience in accounting and finance;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Experience working with Tableau or other data visualisation tools and databases;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">experience in financial and IT analysis for businesses.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0The trainee grant is \u20ac1,170 per month plus a housing allowance (see the \u2018Additional Information\u2019 section).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application deadline: 9 July 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>More information: <a href=\"https:\/\/talent.ecb.europa.eu\/careers\/JobDetail\/Traineeship-in-Financial-Analysis-in-the-Directorate-General-Market-Infrastructure-and-Payments\/14393\">Hablamos de Europa.\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Central Bank is offering an internship opportunity to join the Finance team within the Directorate-General for Market Infrastructure and Payments in Germany.
