This award recognises projects by EU institutions, bodies and agencies that uphold and promote a culture of good administration in the EU and have a positive impact on citizens\u2019 lives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The EU Law Tracker, launched by the three institutions in cooperation with the Publications Office, is an easy-to-use online tool that brings together key legislative information in one place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The Tracker enables citizens to follow the EU legislative process from start to finish via an intuitive timeline, with direct access to related documents. In this way, it demonstrates the European Union\u2019s commitment to a transparent, open and accessible legislative process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Since 30 April 2024, the pilot version of the EU Legislation Tracker has provided comprehensive coverage of ordinary legislative procedures, the main procedure for the adoption of EU laws. It offers a customisable search function, along with real-time updates on new developments and recently published documents. The EU Legislation Tracker also includes the Joint Declaration Tracker, which monitors proposals under the ordinary legislative procedure included in the<\/span><span dir=\"auto\">2026 Joint Declaration on Legislative Priorities.<\/span><span dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Following these new improvements and updates, the tool is now fully operational.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The EU Legislation Tracker reflects the shared commitment of the European Parliament, the Council and the European Commission to providing easily accessible information on the progress of EU legislation in all official EU languages. The main aim of the EU Legislation Tracker is to ensure transparency and traceability of legislation for the general public.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span dir=\"auto\">Background<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The EU Law Tracker has its origins in the 2016 Interinstitutional Agreement on Better Law-Making, in which the European Parliament, the Council and the European Commission undertook to create a joint database on the status of legislative dossiers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The main objective of the EU Law Tracker is to ensure transparency and traceability of legislation for the general public, as it consolidates the available information into an easy-to-use timeline.
