{"id":169689,"date":"2026-06-30T09:25:03","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T07:25:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=169689"},"modified":"2026-06-30T09:28:25","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T07:28:25","slug":"el-consejo-aprueba-una-hoja-de-ruta-para-la-cooperacion-europea-en-materia-de-educacion-y-formacion-hasta-2030","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/el-consejo-aprueba-una-hoja-de-ruta-para-la-cooperacion-europea-en-materia-de-educacion-y-formacion-hasta-2030\/","title":{"rendered":"The Council adopts a roadmap for European cooperation on education and training up to 2030"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The Council has adopted a resolution that <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">will guide cooperation at EU level in the field of education and training<\/span><\/strong><strong><span dir=\"auto\">until 2030<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/agenda-educacion.png\" alt=\"vista de un aula\" width=\"612\" height=\"344\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The resolution on the <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">second cycle of the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">towards the European Education Area (2026\u20132030) sets out the<\/span><span dir=\"auto\">work programme for EU-level cooperation in the fields of education and training over the next five years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">It updates two resolutions adopted by the Council in 2021 concerning the strategic framework and its governance structure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The resolution adopted today reaffirms the Council\u2019s ambition to <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">achieve the European Education Area (EEA)<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">, with a view to fostering greater collaboration between EU countries in the field of education and training.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">In its resolution, the Council focuses on <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">preserving the EEA\u2019s current governance structure<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">. It continues to emphasise the need for a<\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">holistic approach to education and training <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">that enables the full potential of individuals and society to be realised. Furthermore, it calls for the strategic framework <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">to work in synergy with the Skills Union <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">where appropriate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The resolution includes an updated set of <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">six strategic priorities <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">in the field of education and training:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong><span dir=\"auto\">Literacy, numeracy and science <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">for all.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Development\u00a0 <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">of digital skils <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">and citizenship education<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Making <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">lifelong learning <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">and mobility a reality for all.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Improving the attractiveness, skills and motivation of the <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">education and training profession.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Promoting<\/span><span dir=\"auto\">European <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">vocational education and training<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Promoting the <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">competitiveness <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">of higher education in Europe.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The resolution includes the list of <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">EU-level objectives <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">in the field of education and training, which have been brought together for the first time in a single document.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Background<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The European Education Area (EEA) promotes collaboration between EU countries on education and training, with the aim of building national education and training systems that are more resilient, inclusive and future-proof. The EEA\u2019s strategic framework sets out the structure for collaboration between EU Member States and relevant stakeholders.
