{"id":166965,"date":"2026-04-06T03:00:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T01:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=166965"},"modified":"2026-03-27T10:28:30","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T09:28:30","slug":"learning-training-in-human-rights-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/learning-training-in-human-rights-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Learning &#8211; Training in Human Rights Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Forum-Derechos-Humanos.jpg\" width=\"451\" height=\"308\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The\u00a0COMPASS Training Courses in Human Rights Education\u00a0are strategic national or regional activities for the development of competences of key multipliers for human rights education with young people.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The training courses can be organised at the initiative of national youth organisations or institutions interested in advancing the provisions and quality of human rights education and implementing the\u00a0Council of Europe Charter on Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Aim<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This training course aims at developing the competences of participants to act as trainers and multipliers for human rights education in the context of local, national or regional activities and projects with young people, making use of Compass and supporting the implementation of the Council of Europe Charter on Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education, the UN World Programme for Human Rights Education and the UN Declaration on Human Rights Education and Training.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Eligible\u00a0applicants<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>trainers or facilitators in non\u2013formal education, especially within youth organisations and associations, in youth work activities and in other NGOs concerned with human rights education;<\/li>\n<li>young leaders involved in human rights education through youth work activities and in other NGOs concerned with human rights education;<\/li>\n<li>teachers or teacher trainers with a multiplying role within formal education systems interested in introducing non-formal learning methodologies in their activities on HRE;<\/li>\n<li>Youth workers, human rights activists, volunteers experienced in and intending to function as multipliers and advocates for human rights education at local, national or international level;<\/li>\n<li>be aged between 18-30 years old resident of one of the countries state parties to the European Cultural Convention or, with regards to the OHCHR collaboration, national of a country in the North Africa and Middle East (MENA) region<\/li>\n<li>All participants in the training course are expected to implement HRE projects or programmes as relevant, such as national training courses in human rights education, translation and dissemination of Compass, advocacy projects on human rights education or others as a follow-up of their participation in the course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Support provided by The Council of Europe:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Travel expenses and visa fees, accommodation and lodging for the training seminar in Budapest will be reimbursed according to the rules of the Council of Europe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Deadline<\/strong>: 19 April 2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>For more information: <a href=\"https:\/\/programmes.eurodesk.eu\/eu#20893-eu\">Eurodesk<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0COMPASS Training Courses in Human Rights Education\u00a0are strategic national or regional activities for the development of competences of key multipliers for human rights education with young people.
