The aim is to give them an understanding of the objectives and goals of Europol&#8217;s processes and policies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">To enable trainees to acquire practical experience and knowledge of the daily work of Europol&#8217;s departments and services. To provide them with the opportunity to work in a multicultural, multilingual and multi-ethnic environment, thereby contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust and tolerance. To promote European integration in the spirit of new governance and, through active participation, raise awareness of true European citizenship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">To provide interns with the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired during their studies and training, in particular their specific areas of expertise. To introduce these interns to the professional world and its constraints, functions and opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The selected candidate(s) will join the internship project for a minimum o f <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">6 months <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">and a maximum of <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">12 months<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">, with the possibility of extension depending on the intern&#8217;s performance, the interests of the service and budget availability, with a working week of 40 hours. The internship will take place at Europol&#8217;s premises in The Hague (Netherlands).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Depending on the profile of the selected candidate, the intern will be assigned to one of the teams listed below:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span dir=\"auto\">ICT Strategy and Implementation Coordination Unit: <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">The internship project will consist of one (1) internship position and will focus on supporting financial planning and budgetary governance activities, including monitoring budget allocations, preparing reports and streamlining coordination between ICT projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span dir=\"auto\">Budget Planning and Reporting Team, Finance Unit: <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">This will focus on supporting the team in the transition to the new financial system. Interns will participate in various activities aimed at improving financial processes, optimising reporting tools, and ensuring smooth system integration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Be a national of a Member State of the European Union;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Have reached the age of majority in your country of origin;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Have a level of education equivalent to a full university degree or vocational training relevant to Europol&#8217;s tasks. Only qualifications issued by authorities in EU Member States and qualifications recognised as equivalent by the competent bodies in those States will be accepted. If the main studies were completed outside the European Union or at a non-EU institution located within the European Union, the candidate&#8217;s qualification (hereinafter referred to as a &#8216;non-EU qualification&#8217;) must have been recognised by a body officially delegated for that purpose by one of the Member States of the European Union (e.g. a national Ministry of Education).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">Have a very good knowledge of English, which is the main language of internal communication at Europol, and a satisfactory knowledge (corresponding to at least level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) of another European Union language.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">During the traineeship, trainees receive a <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">monthly grant <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">of <\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">EUR 1602 <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">to cover their living expenses in the Netherlands.
