It has 12 open positions for Doctoral Candidates (DCs).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>About the open PhD position<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Chair of Analytical Food Chemistry at the School of Life Sciences of the Technical University of Munich, Germany, is seeking highly motivated applicants for a PhD scholarship focused on\u00a0folate bio-accessibility and bioavailablility of foods made from protein-rich plants and algae<strong>. <\/strong>You will work across both disciplines, Analytical Food Chemistry and Nutritional Sciences, investigating the potential of protein-rich plants and algae to produce foods rich in highly bioaccessible and bioavailable folate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">As part of your research, you will\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Enrol\u00a0in the Graduate Center of Life Sciences as a PhD student and comply with its doctoral training requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"DA\">Participate actively\u00a0in the MICROSUNSET training (12 ECTS), dissemination, communication, reporting and exploitation activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Publish and present\u00a0research results in international conference proceedings and peer-reviewed scientific journals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Prepare and defend\u00a0a doctoral thesis in the field of micronutrients and sustainable food products.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Support student supervision\u00a0and contribute to teaching at BSc and MSc levels.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">You must have a two-year master&#8217;s degree in (120 ECTS points) in\u00a0Food Sciences\u00a0or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master&#8217;s degree.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN\">Furthermore, the ideal candidate has:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Completed a relevant master\u2019s program<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Hands-on experience with analytical equipment such as HPLC, LC-MS\/MS as well as sample preparation approaches and their application to food<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN\">Knowledge about quality assurance of analytical methods<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Good communication skills (written and oral English)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN\">Experience with international\u00a0collaboration\u00a0and the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN\">A structured and analytical approach to work and problem-solving<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The EU MSCA grant received by TUM consists of a monthly gross salary of 4768 EUR (before tax).<\/p>\n<p><b>Organisation\/company<\/b>: Analytical Food Chemistry at Technical University of Munich.<\/p>\n<p><b>Field of research: <\/b>Chemistry \u00bb Analytical chemistry<\/p>\n<div>Biological sciences \u00bb Nutritional sciences<b><\/b><span dir=\"auto\">.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><b>Research profile<\/b>: First Stage Researcher (R1).<\/p>\n<p><b>Country<\/b>: Germany.<\/p>\n<p><b>Application deadline:<\/b>15 Apr 2026 &#8211; 23:59 (Europe\/Berlin).<\/p>\n<p><strong>For more information:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/euraxess.ec.europa.eu\/jobs\/416267\">Euraxess<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MICROSUNSET is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN) funded by the European Union.
