The successful candidate will be registered as a fee free PhD student at Ghent University and enrolled in the SUPER Doctoral Network, with secondment opportunities in industry and other European academic institutions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">SUPER (Sustainable Sports and Physical Activity for Equity and Resilience) is offering 17 pioneering fellowship opportunities at the intersection of sustainability and sports science.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Doctoral Candidate in the project \u2018<strong>Sports leaders and organizations as climate advocates.<\/strong>\u2019 will play a central role in the network and will:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">1) Assess public receptiveness in Europe to climate messages from sports leaders and organisations<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">2) Study how healthcare professionals become climate advocates by analysing the operations, communication strategies, and resources of organisations like \u201cThe Medical Consortium on Climate and Health.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">3) Perform focus groups with sports leaders and organisations to investigate their willingness to adopt climate advocacy and integrate it into their practices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">4) Perform case studies to provide in-depth insights into early adopters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">You hold (or will receive in a few months) a master&#8217;s degree in a relevant domain in the social sciences, humanities, or health sciences; i.e., movement sciences, (social)psychology, communication sciences, business, or sport (management) sciences.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">You obtained excellent grades during your studies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">You have a genuine interest in the intersection of sports, climate and communication.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">You can plan and carry out your tasks independently (with guidance).
