Applications are invited for this internship project at the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol).<\/p>\n

The aim of this internship project announcement is to establish a reserve list of successful candidates for two teams in the Capabilities Directorate of Europol.
\nThere are currently two (2) internship slots available \u2013 one slot in the Financial Administration team and another one in the IM Strategy, Planning & Business Product Management team whereby the selected applicant will join the internship project for a minimum period of 6 months\u00a0and a maximum period of\u00a012 months, including any possibility of extension based on the performance of the intern, the interest of the service and budget availability, with a work schedule of 40 hours a week. The internship will take place at the Europol premises in The Hague, The Netherlands.<\/p>\n

Based on the profile of the successful candidates, the intern will be allocated to one of the teams listed below:<\/p>\n

Financial Administration Team, Finance Unit<\/strong><\/p>\n

This internship project focuses on supporting the management in the transition from the current financial system (ABAC) to a new financial system (SUMMA) and its integration with documents management systems.<\/p>\n

The assigned activities will include:
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Learn and familiarise yourself with financial processes and systems, ABAC, SUMMA, and related document management systems;
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Assist in testing various financial processes in the SUMMA test environment and the relationship with the document management systems;
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Assist drafting and updating existing financial process descriptions to align with SUMMA and with the document management systems;
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Support drafting and updating of training materials to reflect the SUMMA processes;
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Support project archiving and other SUMMA-related tasks;
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Any other related activities under the supervision of the internship supervisor.<\/p>\n

Information Management (IM) Strategy, Planning & Business Product Management Team, IM Unit<\/strong><\/p>\n

The internship project will be focussed on providing support to the Corporate Quality & Process Management Function (QPM) in further improving and optimising the existing Business Process Management & Analysis solution. This solution serves as the corporate process repository accessible to all staff.<\/p>\n

The assigned activities will include:
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Familiarise yourself with the Business Process Management & Analysis solution and support identifying areas for improvement;
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Support the harmonisation of information in process documentation and the different repositories of the solution to ensure consistency and clarity;
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Support the definition and analysis of business processes including the creation of the required process documentation;
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Assist in creating and updating end-user documentation, training and communication materials;
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Support the project to upgrade the solution to a new version including reviewing, updating, and performing test cases;
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Any other related activities under the supervision of the internship supervisor.<\/p>\n
