The topic portfolio is based on three central systems: Public Energy Supply Systems, Industrial Energy Systems and Cities &amp; Built Environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of the international and interdisciplinary team \u201c<strong>High Efficiency Power Electronics<\/strong>\u201d, you will work in modern research and testing laboratories and focus on the development of\u00a0<strong>innovative power electronic solutions for<\/strong><strong>future electric vehicles and stationary applications and components<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>You work in national and\u00a0<strong>European funded projects<\/strong>, contributing to the development of next generation power electronics.<\/li>\n<li>You apply your expertise as a BMS and power electronics developer for\u00a0<strong>topology and component selection, circuit design, and hardware\/software implementation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>You\u00a0<strong>develop and integrate hardware\/software<\/strong>\u00a0for battery management systems, traction inverters, onboard chargers, as well as DC\/DC converters, and commission them.<\/li>\n<li>You engage in\u00a0<strong>programming BMS control and SOX algorithms<\/strong>\u00a0for the operation of battery storage systems.<\/li>\n<li>You\u00a0<strong>simulate energy flow and electrical circuits<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>optimise power electronics<\/strong>\u00a0in terms of efficiency, power density, and reliability.<\/li>\n<li>You write impactful\u00a0<strong>scientific publications<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>present them at\u00a0<\/strong>national and international\u00a0<strong>conferences<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>You contribute to the\u00a0<strong>development of novel methods and prototypes for our industry partners<\/strong>\u00a0and help therefore to design better, faster, and sustainable products.<\/li>\n<li>You give\u00a0<strong>input for new strategic research ideas<\/strong>, that will contribute to the growth of our unit\u2019s research project portfolio.<\/li>\n<li>Through your input for new strategic research ideas, innovative results and customer-oriented approach, you will\u00a0<strong>contribute to the success of our current research project portfolio<\/strong>\u00a0and support our industry partners to roll out their new products to the market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering and\/or Technical Physics<\/li>\n<li>Profound knowledge in Power Electronics, Electric Drives and Battery Storage Systems<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the development of BMS systems and algorithms<\/li>\n<li>Several years of work experience ideally in the context of electric vehicles and battery storage systems<\/li>\n<li>Experience in independently managing (research) projects<\/li>\n<li>Excellent proficiency in relevant tools (MATLAB, C++, Python, EAGLE, PSIM, LTSpice, PLECS, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on mentality and a passion for creating sustainable technical solutions<\/li>\n<li>Analytical thinking and enthusiasm for highly innovative research<\/li>\n<li>Very good communication and team working skills in English and best in German<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and written skills in English; Very good German is highly preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h \/ week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 59.934,&#8211;.
