The education includes relevant courses amounting to about six months of study, a dissertation based on independent research, participation in national and international research environments, relevant academic communication, a trial lecture and public defence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Key tasks in the project will include:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Statistical analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal data<\/li>\n<li>Collection of qualitative data through interviews with refugees<\/li>\n<li>Transcription, coding, and analysis of qualitative data<\/li>\n<li>Writing of research articles to be published in international, peer-reviewed journals<\/li>\n<li>Dissemination of research findings at conferences and to relevant stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Qualification requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You must have a solid academic background with a five-year master\u2019s degree in health and\/or social sciences, or other relevant education that qualifies for admission to a research training program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You are required to have experience with statistical analyses and\/or the use of mixed methods. In addition, it is desirable that you have published, or submitted, at least one scientific article to a peer-reviewed journal, and that you have knowledge of migration as a research field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are completing your degree in the spring of 2025, you are also welcome to apply. In that case, you must submit documentation of your completed education as soon as it is available, and no later than\u00a0August 15, 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applicants with an education from an institution with a different grade scale than A-F, and\/or with other types of credits than sp\/ECTS, must\u00a0attach a confirmed conversion scale that shows how the grades can be compared with the Norwegian A-F scale and a Diploma Supplement or similar that explains the scope of the subjects that are included in the education.\u00a0You can use these conversion scales\u00a0 to calculate your points for admission.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Further emphasis is placed on the following:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>that you possess the academic and personal qualifications to complete a PhD program within the employment period<\/li>\n<li>that you can work independently as well as in collaboration with others, and that you are innovative and creative<\/li>\n<li>that you are well-organized and have high work capacity<\/li>\n<li>that you have good proficiency in a Scandinavian language (Norwegian, Swedish or Danish), both written and oral<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>They offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">a PhD education in a large, exciting and societally important organisation<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">an ambitious work community which is developing rapidly.
