\"FondoThe purpose of the IFCD is to promote sustainable development and poverty reduction in developing countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. The IFCD supports projects that aim to foster the emergence of a dynamic cultural sector, primarily by facilitating the introduction of new cultural policies and cultural industries, or strengthening existing ones.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

What’s the contest<\/h3>\n

Projects must be implemented and\/or benefit only eligible countries (developing countries Parties to the 2005 Convention).
\nThe project implementation period shall be between 12 and 24 months.
\nThe projects should start, at the earliest, in April 2020, following the approval of the project by the Intergovernmental Committee in February 2020.<\/p>\n

All funding requests are to be sent to the relevant National Commissions for UNESCO or other official channels designated by the States Parties, who will then submit them to the Secretariat of the Convention.
\nINGOs should submit applications directly to the Secretariat of the Convention if their programme\/project proposals are supported in writing by the States Parties concerned.<\/p>\n

Participation criteria<\/h3>\n

The beneficiaries of the Fund are developing, economies in transition and least-developed countries that are Parties to the Convention.
