{"id":158892,"date":"2025-04-09T03:00:58","date_gmt":"2025-04-09T01:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=158892"},"modified":"2025-04-08T12:42:01","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T10:42:01","slug":"three-spanish-petitions-to-be-discussed-at-the-petitions-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/three-spanish-petitions-to-be-discussed-at-the-petitions-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Three Spanish petitions to be discussed at the Petitions Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The European Parliament&#8217;s Petitions Committee in Brussels on 8 April examined three Spanish petitions on the transposition of the European directive on the common VAT system in the European Union, the alleged non-compliance with the directive on flood risks in Spain and the working conditions of doctors in the public health system in Ceuta and Melilla.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Parlamento-europeo-Union-europa-2-e1744108338496.jpg\" width=\"459\" height=\"268\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Tuesday&#8217;s session, the Petitions Committee discussed three Spanish petitions on different issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first petition is on the transposition of directive 2020\/285 on the EU&#8217;s common system of value added tax (VAT).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second petition, at around 15:00, dealt with alleged non-compliance with Directive 2007\/60\/EC on the assessment and management of flood risks in Spain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The third petition, on behalf of the Consejo General de Colegios Oficiales de M\u00e9dicos, was debated from 15:00 and concerns the working conditions of doctors in the public health system in the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Petitions to be shelved<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Three Spanish petitions have been proposed for closure after having received replies from the European Commission.
