{"id":15872,"date":"2019-04-10T08:26:34","date_gmt":"2019-04-10T06:26:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=15872"},"modified":"2019-04-10T08:26:34","modified_gmt":"2019-04-10T06:26:34","slug":"encatc-research-award-on-cultural-policy-and-cultural-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/encatc-research-award-on-cultural-policy-and-cultural-management\/","title":{"rendered":"ENCATC Research Award on Cultural Policy and Cultural Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Encatc.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-15873\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Encatc-300x164.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"164\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Encatc-300x164.png 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Encatc.png 550w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Granted each year, the ENCATC Research Award on Cultural Policy and Cultural Management\u00a0is offered to the best recent PhD Thesis on comparative cultural policies or management topics presented by a young researcher.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The award aims to stimulate academic research in the field of cultural policy and management to explore, through comparative and cross-cultural research, issues at stake in contemporary Europe, Asia and the Americas, and possibly anticipate new cultural policy orientations, as well as to contribute to the process of creating a network of scholars who are competent in doing comparative research projects in cultural policy and management issues.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Who can apply<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The PhD thesis submitted to the call must have been\u00a0recently\u00a0published<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(up to 4 years after completion of the thesis)\u00a0 and be qualified with cum laude or equivalent in entrants&#8217;\u00a0country\u2019s higher education system.\u00a0All the doctoral thesis must be presented in English although the original version can be in another language.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Deadline<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1\u00a0May\u00a02019,\u00a0midnight Brussels time<\/p>\n<p>The Award consists of the translation of the winning PhD thesis into English\u00a0and its publication in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.encatc.org\/en\/resources\/book-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ENCATC Book Series Cultural Management and Cultural Policy Education<\/a>, a\u00a0series of publications specialising in topics related to cultural management and cultural policy headed by ENCATC.
