Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a doctoral scholarship in political science and political economy. The scholarship will be based in the Department of International Economics, Government, and Business (EGB). The scholarship will focus on studying the relationship between business interests and political processes and their social implications. Research, with one or more positions, will be conducted within the framework of the Sustainable Stone Project for Portugal (7249).<\/strong><\/p>\n

PhD fellows in the department will greatly benefit from our research seminars and other activities. At the same time, applicants should consider the general contribution they themselves can make to the department’s research environment. They should also demonstrate relevant experience in higher education, business, and outreach activities.<\/p>\n

CBS\u2019s three-year doctoral program offers candidates the opportunity to conduct research under the supervision of CBS professors, with the support of doctoral courses related to their research. The program is highly international, and candidates are expected to participate in international research conferences and research visits abroad. Candidates must demonstrate excellent quantitative and coding skills. They should be committed to developing state-of-the-art computational methods for large-scale data analysis, and\/or integrating multiple different datasets (such as VDEM, Compustat, BoardEx, WhoGov, ParlEE, etc.), and\/or collecting original data (e.g., through survey experiments or text coding).<\/p>\n
