The work will be carried out primarily at C2N, in collaboration with the Geeps and UMR-IPVF, in close collaboration with the other Minotaure project partners. C2N is a CNRS and Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay laboratory. The researcher will be integrated into the SUNLIT team of the ODIN group, in C2N&#8217;s Photonics department. He or she will benefit from the exceptional equipment available in the clean rooms of C2N, Geeps and the IPVF.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim of the project is to develop methods for accessing the properties of each sub-cell in tandem solar cells, without using separate cells or inactive cells, in order to reduce possible artefacts and get closer to the real device. Methods taking advantage of luminescence and\/or electrical measurements will be used, supported by numerical simulations. The luminescence measurements developed here will be used to map the saturation currents, collection functions and resistances for each of the sub-cells. Electrical methods will also be developed, providing access to saturation currents and resistances at the level of the overall device (without spatial resolution).<br \/>\nThese two independent measurement methods will be correlated. Several materials of interest will be studied: silicon, CIGS and perovskites. With the latter two materials, spatially resolved characterisation methods are required, as these materials exhibit inhomogeneities at different scales, which play a role both in limiting cell performance and in cell ageing. It should be noted that III-V cells, which can be likened to &#8216;models&#8217;, will be used to calibrate the new methods. Among the characteristics sought will be a spatially resolved determination of saturation currents and carrier collection probabilities in each sub-cell.<br \/>\nCollaboration with project partners will enable us to characterise devices that have undergone various accelerated ageing processes. The methods developed could also be adapted to in-situ measurement set-ups in climatic chambers.
