Along with local actors, IVY volunteers tackle the challenges that Europe and its neighbouring regions are facing, helping to find and implement common solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/interreg.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-52340 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/interreg.jpg\" alt=\"Interreg Volunteer Youth\" width=\"550\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/interreg.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/interreg-300x164.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">IVY volunteers serve in cross-border, transnational or interregional programmes and related projects to support cooperation and contribute to building a strong and united Europe in the regions where they are active. Each experience is between 2 and 6 months long, and volunteers are supported financially.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">IVY is an initiative of the European Commission and the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR).<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How does it work<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are two ways to join the\u00a0Interreg Volunteer Youth:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>As\u00a0<strong>Interreg Reporters<\/strong>, to help highlight the results of Interreg programmes<\/li>\n<li>As\u00a0<strong>Interreg Project Partners<\/strong>, to contribute to the implementation of projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each experience is between minimum 2 and maximum 6 months long. Volunteers\u00a0can be deployed in any of 27 EU Member States and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.interregyouth.com\/about\/what-is-ivy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">partner countries<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Who can take part<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">IVY is open to young people (18 to 30 year old) from: Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Republic of Northern Macedonia, Norway, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain,\u00a0Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Belarus* and Russia* are suspended due to the Russian military aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Interreg Project Partner<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Young people between 18 and 30 year old can apply to become an Interreg Project Partner. Volunteers involved as Interreg Project Partners contribute specifically to the implementation of the Interreg project they\u2019ve been assigned to, in the flied they love.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is a big variety of Interreg activities (from the education and culture fields to the health and environment ones, and so on), so all types of backgrounds are welcome to become an Interreg Project Partner.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Interreg Reporter<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Young people between 18 and 30 year old can apply to become an Interreg Reporter to help communicate the achievements of Interreg. Good knowledge of using social media in a professional context and produce videos\u00a0are particularly helpful.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Placements<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All available placement offers are displayed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aebr.teamtailor.com\/jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>\u00a0and you can apply filling in the form at the bottom of the page with the offer<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Selection process<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The coordinating organisation (AEBR) will\u00a0pre-select some suitable profiles for each specific offer, taking into account\u00a0the host organisation&#8217;s specific needs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The host organisation will choose the successful candidate(s)\u00a0by setting up interviews with all or some of the pre-selected candidates.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Funding<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Volunteers receive a daily allowance which ranges from 18 to 32 EUR per day, depending on the host country. It covers accommodation, food, local transport plus pocket money.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AEBR covers also the volunteers\u2019\u00a0travel costs based on km distance they would do from their home address to the host organisation\u2019s address.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Grants to organise your own local event<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The European Commission and AEBR also provide additional funds for IVY volunteers who wish to organise local events, known as Citizens\u2019 Engagement Activities, informing citizens of the achievements of the European Regional Policy.
