Over 160,000 projects have reached more than three million pupils in the eTwinning community over these two decades, with the help of over 1.2 million teachers in 295,000 schools. Among these projects are the 2024 European award winners, which have benefited children from nursery to upper secondary school by opening their classrooms to peers from other countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">eTwinning aims to provide borderless learning accessible to all teachers and learners. It continuously innovates in face-to-face practices and in promoting digital literacy and active citizenship. By connecting teachers with each other, it contributes to fostering inclusive and high quality education through mutual learning across the EU and beyond.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The initiative has expanded over the years, welcoming new member countries and introducing new features such as online courses and European quality seals. It is now also open to trainee teachers in the initial stages of their education. The \u2018eTwinning for future teachers\u2019 initiative has shown that the platform contributes to the development of new generations of teachers by promoting exchanges and discussions between teachers from different countries and education systems, and by enabling teachers to discover and apply cross-curricular and project-based teaching.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">eTwinning is part of the European Platform for School Education, an online space connecting schools in 46 countries. 400,000 users receive a regular newsletter about the latest content on the platform and future activities. Since its launch in January 2005, eTwinning has helped teachers and schools to develop national and international projects in a secure online environment.
